We drive through the Bohemian countryside to Kutna Hora, then return to Prague after lunch.

Enjoy a walking tour of the castle area of Prague, including the Royal Palace and Golden Lane, one of Prague's most picturesque streets. After lunch we fly from Prague to Budapest to join Swiss Crystal.

"Cruise Only" passengers fly from London to Budapest to join Swiss Crystal. Time to unpack and settle in to your new surroundings. Relax on deck this evening with a pre-dinner drink and take in Budapest's impressive skyline.

Budapest
Often referred to as the "Paris of Eastern Europe", we take a full day to explore both the Buda and Pest sides of the city. In the morning, visit Castle Hill in Buda, including the Fisherman's Bastion, Matthias Church with its colourful roof, and Gellert Hill. After lunch on board we take in Pest, visiting the renowned Museum of Fine Arts and the impressive Millennium Monument in Heroes' Square. Join our Welcome Cocktail Party this evening as we sail for Esztergom.

Esztergom
This morning we explore Esztergom, the town of St Stephen, first King of Hungary, and the present day ecclesiastical centre of Hungary. Our visit includes Hungary's largest church, the impressive neoclassical cathedral. Our afternoon sailing offers the chance to listen to a talk by our Guest Speaker. We arrive late evening in Bratislava.

Bratislava
A walking tour around the colourful Old Town, beautifully restored in recent years and now a bustling and vibrant area, gives an excellent opportunity to soak up the atmosphere. We then continue out to the Little Carpathian Mountains for a traditional lunch accompanied by folk music. As we overnight in port, stroll ashore and enjoy a meal or a drink in one of the many restaurants.

Bratislava - Vienna
Vienna Sail early morning for our day and a half in Vienna, for centuries one of the great capitals of Europe. Wednesday afternoon we visit St Stephen's Cathedral and see some of the city's elegant buildings including the Town Hall, Parliament and the Hofburg. There will be an opportunity to attend a supplementary classical concert ashore in this "City of Music" this evening. Thursday morning we visit the sumptuous Baroque palace of Schoenbrunn. Frescoed ceilings, tapestries, crystal chandeliers and gilded ornaments adorn the interior, whilst outside there are beautifully kept French-style gardens. Spend the afternoon at leisure, perhaps enjoying an authentic "Wiener Schnitzel" for lunch and further explore this wonderful city during the afternoon. The elegant shops on Kaerntner Strasse, the treasures of the Fine Arts Museum and Hundertwasser's quirky modern buildings all await you. We set sail late afternoon for Duernstein, arriving late evening.

Duernstein - Melk
Enjoy the morning exploring the charming village of Duernstein, where there will be the chance to try some of the wines from the Wachau area. We sail at midday for Melk. Relax on deck for this beautiful stretch of the Danube, which treats us to views of steeply terraced vineyards, orchards of peaches and apricots and an array of castles, Gothic churches and picturesque villages. Disembark mid-afternoon for a visit to the Benedictine Abbey at Melk, a supreme example of Baroque architecture.

Melk - Grein - Linz
After a morning on the river we stop at the delightful town of Grein. Spend the afternoon at leisure, viewing the 15th century castle and the fine turreted houses in the main square. Swiss Crystal sails late afternoon for Linz, a perfect opportunity to enjoy a drink on deck before dinner. We arrive in Linz in the evening to overnight.

Linz - Passau
From Linz we drive into the countryside to St Florian - its abbey church has highly ornate stucco work and frescoes and Bruckner, who was the organist here from 1850 to 1855, is buried in the crypt. Or you may prefer to remain in Linz to explore the town at your leisure this morning.

Passau
This morning we visit Passau, situated at the point where the Danube converges with the rivers Inn and Ilz. We tour the Old Town, with its narrow streets, archways and tunnels, and visit the impressive Cathedral of St Stephen, which houses the world's largest church organ. We sail after lunch, a chance to soak up some afternoon sun before our arrival in Straubing.

Straubing - Regensburg
Following a morning on the river, we arrive in the beautiful town of Regensburg. During our excursion we wander along Regensburg's attractive lanes which reveal hidden medieval buildings and picturesque squares with ornate fountains. In the evening the town comes alive and the squares and streets are full of atmosphere with plenty of restaurants, quaint bars and cafes. We overnight here so why not stroll ashore?

We enjoy a full day cruising and join the Rhine-Main-Danube Canal. Reflect on the sights of the cruise with our Guest Speaker or relax on deck enjoying the passing scenery.

Nuremberg
Nuremberg, capital of Franconia, is a city steeped in both medieval and modern history. The city was one of the most beautiful medieval cities in Germany and the historic Old Town has been wonderfully restored since the end of World War II. Following a sightseeing drive around many of the famous landmarks, we take a walking tour of the city. We sail for Bamberg after lunch.

Bamberg - Frankfurt - London
Disembark from Swiss Crystal in Bamberg and transfer to Frankfurt Airport for the return flight to London.
